Sin From Genesis

After some 3D work I managed to make the cubic AT field of this scene!
Of course, rendering is a different thing... I had made a texture that emulated how the AT field looks like on that scene but it turned out looking plain orange...
I added some glow here and there, a canvas painting effect and done!

The Zeruel is a drawing I made... Dunno how it looks like... I'm not good drawing so you'll have to tell me...

The Eva 01 in God mode (or released if you prefer) was easy too, first time the chroma key goes in the first click... And since there's no light arm to draw of halo to match angle with it was a piece of cake...

Anyhow, a few days for Resident Evil: Retribution; one month to go for Resident Evil 6 and then it's countdown for Evangelion Q... And then for a crappy cam rip XD

Box design 2

There's a long story behind the why of these 2 images, but I won't spend much time on them: they're for the box of the figures, obviously, and they will be printed on adhesive paper and pasted on the side of the box to help me ID the figures from outside...

Now, the one of Eva 04 is nothing new, a few stars, smoke a glow in the eyes (something I technically shouldn't add 'cuz I'm not specifying on the box that the figure's eyes don't actually glow)...

On the other hand, the Eva 03 drawing has the technical achievement prize in an image (so far) as it contains the most complex 3D design I've used...

I'm talking about the transport cross thingie...

I know it lacks many of the details present on the one we see in the movie, but it suffices for now... Many specific details such as the shoulder, pylon and ankle holds has to be drawn on top...

BTW, I used Ulead COOL 3D to make it, a very simple and intuitive program... Maybe later I'll try to use a more complex one...

PS: I leave a side angle of the cross... I definitely must keep clicking on until I master this program XD

A Step Forward Into Terror II

The first (ill fated) sortie of Eva 01 and 02 together...

Last year I found a gashapon figure of Israfel, the angel they're battling in this scene on Ebay, however, I lost the auction. so they'll be fighting an invisible enemy...

Not much new here except that I had to use the head of other image of Eva 01 and paste it on top on this one 'cuz despite the body is on the right position, the head was facing somewhere else... Those damm neck articulations of old ¬¬"

What? Umbilical cables on that scene... I know... But to what was the other end plugged? XD

Let us bypass that...

Past tomorrow I'll be back in school... So I'll try to keep posting...

I have been busy lately, many figures on the way and no money to buy them with...
I've been working the equivalent to double shifts to fill my royal arcs to have cash in November when the 3.0 line of Revoltechs is released...

How to fix the "broken" neck of a 1st gen. Eva and not kill him trying:

So, Eva 01 volunteered to show this process even though the last one didn't went quite well...

...so this MP Eva will help us get his neck... Separated...

...easy on him...

...you can see now, every part of the neck can be separated...

...now, bend one side of the joint to max. and align the backside of the front piece of the neck with it...

...now, just slide the neck front up the joint and push it so that it ends parallel  with the joint's length...

 ...put the joint in the body and move it so that you can check it worked, if it did, you'll know XD

Ta-da!
