Wow!
One Limited Edition after another!
This time, I have the Revoltech Evangelion 04 Test Type, RapidBorer Equipped Version.
This one was done very quickly using assets I have pre-made, like the AT Field.
Zeruel is a scan/redrawing/coloring of the shot from Evangelion 2.0, taken from the genga collection of Evangelion 2.0 #02.
There's nothing new on this image, as most of the work in it is something I have made countless times, I wanted to use some 3D modeling, but time caught up to me so that had to be scrapped.

The figure was made for the Evangelion 4D experience at Universal Studios Japan and released earlier this year.

Floating to Help

No, the first (let's call it "commission work" despite it wasn't precisely that) I've made: Eva 04 floating in front of Ramiel's fiery explosion as seen in the Rebuild of Evangelion Pachinko games... I think they're called "Last Messenger" or "Last Angel"...

Anyhow, I've used again the water reflection effect I used last HERE and the 2.0 mold Eva 04 (which is actually a custom I made)

I must say, erasing the silvery color of both this Eva and the 2.0 mold Eva 00 is quite difficult for me... I dunno why... In any case, for once since many months ago I have the image for next week ready!
Also, is the Eva gliding, hovering, levitating, floating or what!?

Well, next Monday I have to go back to school so once again the week skipping, although considering that I've not been posting on a weekly basis as originally planned I dunno why I give excuses XD

Reflection

Well, it took a while, but finally I managed to pull out a convincing water reflection...
However, I couldn't draw again a convincing sunset sky... And I got lazy when it came to making the BG, so I recycled completely the one featured with Eva 03 here... Lazy me, hahahaha... I'm a fraud T-T

So, I used my recently arrived EvaEvo 04 (which came with Mark 06) and a few tricks that I have no idea how to describe... Has something to do with a displacement tool... Just visit the tutorial here (I'm gonna try later on a few other tricks I saw there)

Maybe I'll use this technique again when I "rebuild" one of my favorite images (The girl with the red eyes), made over 2 years ago when I was young and unafraid and dreams were made and used, not wasted (yup, want to go see "Les Misérables" when it comes out in theaters)... 
But seriously, that image of Rei is quite ugly for the so-called standards of my images nowadays...

And talking about coming out to theaters... Evangelion 3.0 is out in Japan... I want to keep myself spoiler-free for some time (let's say that a subbed camrip will suffice)...

The only thing I searched for was how many different Evas are there in the movie to see how many new figures I'll have to buy, however, I spoiled myself something(s)... 
I'd wish I could unsee  -_-

Box design 2

There's a long story behind the why of these 2 images, but I won't spend much time on them: they're for the box of the figures, obviously, and they will be printed on adhesive paper and pasted on the side of the box to help me ID the figures from outside...

Now, the one of Eva 04 is nothing new, a few stars, smoke a glow in the eyes (something I technically shouldn't add 'cuz I'm not specifying on the box that the figure's eyes don't actually glow)...

On the other hand, the Eva 03 drawing has the technical achievement prize in an image (so far) as it contains the most complex 3D design I've used...

I'm talking about the transport cross thingie...

I know it lacks many of the details present on the one we see in the movie, but it suffices for now... Many specific details such as the shoulder, pylon and ankle holds has to be drawn on top...

BTW, I used Ulead COOL 3D to make it, a very simple and intuitive program... Maybe later I'll try to use a more complex one...

PS: I leave a side angle of the cross... I definitely must keep clicking on until I master this program XD

The last Eva units... Couldn't post last Wednesday 'cuz I was making a level on Little Big Planet... Took me the whole day! When I realized it was Friday... That thing is addictive, hahaha...

Anyhow... Eva 03 breaking wires, 04 among flames (I'm starting to think he's an arsenist) and Eva 05 with the tail of the 3rd angel...

I guess I'm done with these... I'll make one for Ze Bisto and the Released Eva 01 when Mark 6 is here...

In retrospective, the blue Eva 00 should've been paired with unit 02, as it appeared before Eva 03...
Anyhow, the order of factors doesn't alterate the result...
This time Eva 00 IS holding the Lance of Longinus, however, I had to improvise the BG 'cuz I noticed too late that I didn't had any building to place that matched the Eva's perspective!
Eva 04 was easier, it was originally gonna be posed as Iron Man (landing on it's knee with the fist on the floor) but due to the figure's, ejem, articulation limitations, it couldn't be done...

Ps: Already pre-ordered EvaEvo 03!

Forest Fire!

The image of Eva 03 was gonna be last week's post. Instead of Unit 04, there was a building.
Of course then I thought: why the heck is Eva 03 firing at it?
Eva 04 came to my mind later...
The AT field was very easy to draw, and I think we all remember the rainbow motif of Rebuild...
When I was enhancing the different layers of trees I came up with the idea of the forest being on fire... I Didn't drew the smoke there must be, or the pic would have looked dark and well, smokey...
The only thing that I couldn't think of is why are they fighting?

Something You May Use

Hello!
Just finished this one... I've had the idea of a page marker since a long time ago (even before the conception of the blog itself!)
The look a bit jammed there don't you think?
I decided not to erase the joints this time (the ugly truth: got lazy)...
All you have to do now is print; pierce the upper part and slide a ribbon or string to use!
You may want to plastify it...
I have one planned for the Rebuild Evas, but I dunno if make it 'till the movies are finished (that may take one or two years) or make them with the ones I've got so far...
Anyhow, the next image is the Xmas special!

Shin Seiki Evangelion

Yay!
I managed to end (sort of) my homework and made this!
This is the 1st image that features more than 3 Evas and ironically, they were taken separately...
Each Eva was photographed individually and then added to the BG, that easens the editing of the body armor, wrists and neck.
All the eyes (well, of those with eyes) were drawn on 'cuz they were almost invisible in the picture.
I wonder why it's everything burned up... Iguess someone dropped his N2 mine...

Pachinko!?

A lot of splashes, flashes and new brushes!

Oh... And Unit 04... The unit is holding the clear riot shield of the 1st Units 03 and 04, hard to make out through all that pink...

The thing is... There's no pilot!

In the Pachinko promo, when this Eva deflects Ramiel's power beam and then impales it with the Lance of Longinus, Kaworu is hovering by the unit, controlling it via some freaky-angel-kinesis-power... I couldn't find a suitable image of Kaworu...

But then again, he wasn't precisely in the Entry Plug, wasn't he?

Gemini Eva

A now friend of mine asked me how I had customized mi Eva 03 into a unit 04... So I told him how and he made his own! Awhh... Now my Eva 04 is not unique T-T...
He used the "official" color scheme of the Eva (the one that is seen in 2 or 3 images in Google and a very low quality video on Youtube).
My figure is the one on the right...
