We go on with the last moments of activation time of Eva 02...
I tried to make some elaborate lighting effects, but they turned out mostly looking like a molten cake, so I went for something simple in the end...

Seguimos con los últimos momentos de tiempo de activación del Eva 02...
Traté de hacer algunos efectos de iluminación más elaborados, pero terminaron viéndose como pastel derretido, así que me fui por algo simple al final...
Creo que ya le agarré la onda a eso de dibujar humo... Pero en fin, eso es todo por esta semana...Puesdes ver la foto original AQUÍ y una terminada para compartir en Tumblr AQUÍ...

Continuing the battle of the Terminal Dogma, a wide shot of the scenario, featuring Lilith in the BG...
After finishing the sketch of the drawing I decided to do it in 2D, as all my attempts so far to create a 3D model of the Terminal Dogma have failed...
Lilith did used some 3D work, I used a rigged human figure to pose, took the properly angled photo and then drew on top of it to make sure the pose remained the same (a bit of rotoscoping, so to speak)...
I also used the tiny lights on the background... I don't know what they are exactly, but they can be seen in the movie... The skull piles are all new except for the one the furthest, where Lilith is (I think you can still see the pattern formed due to the copy/paste repetition)
I followed the form of the skulls to make them look half submerged in the water bellow, a bit of displacement on the Evas and there you go!
The Wonder Festival is over now, and it appears Revoltech didn't announced any new Eva figures... Too bad 'cuz I'm reaching the limit of images I can make of this scenes without needing non-existing Evas (namely the Beast Eva 02, Adam's Vessel Mark 09 or God mode Eva 13... Or a Wunder)
Anyhow, I hope they make them soon so that I can continue my collection :P

Continuando con la batalla del Dogma Terminal, una toma amplia del escenario, con Lilith en el fondo...
Tras terminar el bosquejo del dibujo decidí hacer el dibujo en 2D, ya que mis intentos de crear un modelo 3D del Dogma Terminal han fallado...
Si usé algo de 3D en Lilith, un humano con esqueleto para posarlo, tomé la foto con el ángulo apropiado y después dibujé encima de eso para que la pose terminara siendo igual (un poco de rotoscopía, por así decirlo)...
También usé algunas luces en el fondo... No se que sean exactamente, pero puedes verlas en la película... Las pilas de cráneos son todas nuevas excepto por la de hasta atrás, donde está Lilith (creo aún puedes ver el patrón formado por la repetición del copy/paste)
Seguí la forma de los cráneos para dar la impresión de que estaban medio sumergidos, un poco de desplazamiento en los Evas y ¡listo!
El Wonder Festival terminó ya, y parece que Revoltech no anunció ninguna figura nueva de algún Eva... Que mal por que estoy llegando al límite de imágenes que puedo hacer de estas escenas sin necesitar Evas que no existen (específicamente el Eva Beast Mode, Mark 09 Adam's Vessel o el Eva 13 God mode... O un Wunder)
En fin, espero las hagan pronto para que pueda continuar mi colección :P

I recycled the skulls on the floor 'cuz honestly, this drawing was taking too long (2 weeks actually)
Homework has never been this evil! I've not even had time to open my Evangelion 08'ß!
Anyways, there's really nothing new here except for the white "motion" lines... I noticed they happen a lot in that scene on the film...

Ese incómodo momento en el que una perfecta arma de combate humanoide es detenida por un arma medieval...
Reciclé los cráneos del suelo por que honestamente, este dibujo esta tardándose (2 semanas de hecho)
Nunca había sido tan maléfica mi tarea! No he tenido tiempo ni de abrir mi Evangelion 08'ß!
De todos modos, no hay nada nuevo en este dibujo excepto por las líneas de movimiento... Noté que se usan mucho en esa escena de la película...

Poor Shinji, getting into an Eva only to keep straining his already bad relationship with Asuka, killing Kaworu and unleashing the end of the world, again...
So, since I plan to make the movie's sequence in order then this goes before Mark 09 appears... I used a stock AT Field and the rest was easy... I took the design for the pink smoke on the back from the "Groundwork of Evangelion Vol. 2" art book I received last week (I always have trouble making smoke)
I was supposed to make the video review of Eva 08'ß, but homework is keeping me busy... I hope I can do it in the week or next weekend; also, Youtube removed the review of Eva 02'γ from my channel... And they didn't even specified why...

En fin, ya que planeo hacer la secuencia de la película en orden esto va antes de que aparezca el Mark 09... Usé un diseño stock del Campo AT y el resto fue fácil... Tomé el diseño del humo rosado del fondo del art book
"Groundwork of Evangelion Vol. 2", el cual recibí la semana pasada (siempre tengo problemas dibujando humo)
Se suponía que haría la revisión en video del Eva 08'ß, pero mi tarea me tiene ocupado... Espero poder hacerla en la semana o el próximo fin, también, Youtube quitó la revisión del Eva
02'γ de mi canal... Y ni siquiera especificaron por qué...

Direct continuation of this one, Evangelion 13 just before the arrival of... :P It'll be here this week (I hope)
I originally intended to recycle the BG of the first image, but it turns out I mixed many layers in the skull pile and it was impossible to add some effects, so I had to make them from scratch, and a few explosions and skulls flying away, we have this!
Anyways, to compensate for the weeks I didn't post XD

Una continuación directa de esta imagen, el Evangelion 13 justo antes de la llegada de... :P Llegará esta semana (eso espero)
Originalmente quería reciclar el fondo de la imagen anterior, pero resultó que mezclé varias capas de la pila de cráneos que impidió usara algunos efectos, así que tuve que hacerla desde cero, y tras unas explosiones y cráneos volando, ¡tenemos esto!
En fin, es para compensar las semanas que no puse nada XD

Evangelion 13 on it's only, ill-fated mission!
What can I say about this Revo, the sculpt is the closest-to-screen I've seen so far, but the QC seemed a bit off... See the original image HERE, check the left leg and you'll see what I'm talking about...

Also, I've seen some people say that the Spears of Longinus that come with this Eva are longer than the ones normally used by Kaiyodo, I can tell you that it's not true, I took a picture of all the Spears I have and they're all the same size (see them HERE)
Now, as for the image, it is a bit of a dissapointment as I wanted to re-create the entire Terminal Dogma on 3D to use many times by only picking the correct angle, but it appears my PC has no sufficient RAM to render the thousands of skulls needed on the floor of the chamber (it appears I underestimated the requirements of 3D design)... So, unless I figure out a feasible way to do so (that does not end up in using ugly maps), images of the battle in the Terminal Dogma will be traditionally drawn...
So, the skulls are actually only 10 different ones, cloned, duplicated and mirrored many times to give the impression of being many... The pile in the background looks too cloned, you can totally see lines of eye-sockets! The frontal pile looks better XD
The Eva was tricky, given that I had to remove the extra chest and arms and swap the head and pylons... Took me more to do so that to take the damn picture -_-
So, I think that is all... I know it's not an action-packed scene, but wait 'till I get Eva 02 gamma, which by the way is being released in a few days!
PS: Also, using for the first time the tag "Eva13"...
