I have been busy lately, many figures on the way and no money to buy them with...
I've been working the equivalent to double shifts to fill my royal arcs to have cash in November when the 3.0 line of Revoltechs is released...

A minor setback

Well... 

After several field trips for botany, growth biology and zoology, my camera is totaled...

So, image production will be suspended for a while until I can buy a new one...

Year 2: Operation Yashima!!!

Making this picture by taking it from this angle was hard, as the front of the rifle or the Eva would either appear out of focus...

In fact, I have been making this image since December!

Truth be told, it's still not finished as I was planing on making it a 3D red-blue anaglyph for the anniversary...

I couldn't find ones and my attempts to make them would be, well, not good...

So, until I find ones I will complete this image... Until then you'll have to be with this one :D

I hope next year I can make something better ^.^

Just Received the Angel's Shokugans and EvaEvo 00...

It has and amazingly detailed Zeruel miniature, you'll be seeig this one here :D

As for the Evas, well, not a big deal... Ramiel...

Tunniel, Sahaquiel and Samshel... All look awesome! Specially Sahaquiel...

The 7th angel, Clockiel... In the end I had an uncanny amount of bubble gum...

The advent of DOOM!

So, my Robot Damashii Eva 02 finally arrived...

Package #666... A hint of what was inside...


The part that holds the leg with the hip is supposed to spin with the black part... For some reason, the one on the left doesn't... The plastic only twists dangerously...

He said it want's his...
On the brigth side, it has nice shoulder joints ans the way the pylons move is really original...
The details on the head and the weapons is suberb; the material the hands are made of is perfect ans the minimalisctic box is great (I must say, Revo's are pretty carnavalesque)...
Unfortunately I find it's head sculpt rather flat on the sides and the upper arms, at the level of the black lines of the biceps, annoyingly flat...
It took a while to make the feet articulation bend, besides all the above-mentioned issues...

Oh, and...

Those hips!!! Too many donuts!

I departed to a Metheorology trip on Thursday and returned Saturday nigth, I was way too busy with the rest of my homeworks to do this week's drawing...
I'll make an extra one to compensate during vacations...
3 days left for that...

In other news I re-ordered my Eva 01 Evolution... You may remember, the one I ordered back in January was "lost" in mail...
Will be here in about 15 days...
I also have my pre-order for Eva 00 Evolution and this. I hope to get Samshel, Clockiel, Tunniel, Sahaquiel and Zeruel at least...
I originally asked to have Eva 01, 00 and the Angels shipped together, but for some reason, the Angels and th Eva 00 will be sent in May, and they will send Eva 01 alone...
I didn't want to pay for 2 shippings, but well...
I'll review everything once it's here...

Evangelion 00: Activation complete!

I had been itching for months to make this scene... Unfortunately I didn't quite knew how...
After a lot of practice and other images, here it is!
The entry plug is from the Eva 01 F-type Bandai model kit I have (no, you'll never see it, it's horribly finished)
I used a lot of splash brushes to make the bakelite and the cracks brushes of last post made another comeback, this time in the shatterproof glass of the control room.
Impact brushes usually used in shades of orange for explotions [see the X-mas special 1 or Zeruel's debut ] were used to make the fist-punches Eva 00 made while going in a homicidal rampage...
Anyhow, tomorrow's the big day!

How to remove the shoulder pylon of a 1st gen. Eva and not kill him trying:

Lift the arm you want to remove the shoulder pylon from...

...and remove it....

Remove the joint from the arm (Revopliers come in handy)

Bend the pylon towards the place the joint is stuffed in...

...and pull it out of it's axis.

Here in detail the pylon and the axis that holds it, you can see the "rail" used to pull the pylon out.

To place it back, just put it on the arm and push it into the axis from "Eva 1" mark side.
Never attempt to place it back pushing from the joint side!!!

Gemini Eva

A now friend of mine asked me how I had customized mi Eva 03 into a unit 04... So I told him how and he made his own! Awhh... Now my Eva 04 is not unique T-T...
He used the "official" color scheme of the Eva (the one that is seen in 2 or 3 images in Google and a very low quality video on Youtube).
My figure is the one on the right...

With the advent of mi touch Pc I took a trip into memories...
That is, the photoshop files of all my images...
From the original Image of Eva 00 trowing the lance and on, I re-uploaded the images.
Anything new? Why yes!
I fixed some design problems (such as the elbow joints) and edited some little details (like an unproperly erased BG); aditionally I erased the text that read "EVA unit..." of all the pictures... In retrospective, I never really liked that...
Maybe I'll update the pictures some day again (like adding buildings or the promised electric wire towers of the pictures of the unit 03's)
You can add a comment here If you would like the new drawing version with the "EVA unit..." lettering on...
