God knows what's wrong with Blogger... I had to upload a .jpg file 'cuz it didn't recognized the .png from an Internet Explorer!
Anyhow, the Mass Production Evas impaling their cores in End of Evangelion, I used many new techniques here: first, the stars in the far BG; they are not the ones I normally use from brush, they were drawn using the "add noise" Photoshop tool... Also, the about-to-be-destroyed Earth's atmosphere was made with a tool I found in the layers window, don't remember the name and knowing it won't do either because I dunno if they're called the same in english XD
In any case, the Eva (one picture cloned and edited) is not holding the Spear... Once again I used Spear stock images 'cuz deleting their curvy borders is very hard... I drew the head based on a screen capture of the scene in the film, hence it's crapiness... After that I just edited each of the figures to look as they do on the movie...
Which leads to the Evaposers quick-eye test: Which Eva is different from the one of the movie?
Also, see HERE the review of Evangelions #032 and #033 from Revoltech! A couple of figures borderlining with vintage nowadays! (given of couse, how long it has been since Anno released Evangelion 1.0)
I'll be posting reviews of the rest of my collection once in a while (until I start reviewing the Evangelion Q Revoltech figures)
See HERE a preview of the Blog's next week image (you never know about homework XD )
See ya later!
I accidentally erased all Mark. 06 posts when trying to modify the labels XD
I repost all those images plus 2 of Evangelion 01 that went with the Mark. 06 image of that post...
The sad fate of Evangelion 03...
This took me a bit since I've had tons of homework this week :(
I had to rush the end of the image (as evidenced by the trees on the left and the ugly building on the right)
but I added those "shines" that pass from the BG as an experiment... I think I almost got it XD
Anywho, they've already announced Evangelion 13 for July!
And Evangelion Q is out in less than 15 days!
So nice I'm back in school where time flows faster :3
See the original image HERE
Continuing with the destruction of the Mass Production Evas (started HERE)...
Nothing really new in this one except for the editing of Evangelion 02's left elbow that ended looking kinda thin and the modification of the MP Eva's smile into a slight "ugh" (really! I did! check the original image HERE)
I was about to cancel this image because of difficulties with the chroma keying but I worked it out, anyways, less than a month for the DVD release of Evangelion Q!
A continuation of this image, from back in December, Eva 02 and Eva 02 fighting as seen in episode 24, moments before Kaworu enters Lilith's Chamber in Terminal Dogma!
I used my Bandai Soul Stage Act 5 to hold the Evas in place, given that both of them are falling, the Revoltech bases couldn't quite do what I wanted, and the limited places from where those can hold the Evas (basically, only the umbilical cable socket!) made imposible to put Eva 02 without having the base in the way...
Anyways, I watched episode 24 to see how to draw the roof of that strange room... I have always wondered about those salt-tower-like things there...
Also, I edited the chest of Eva 01 to erase the excess of progressive knife on the hand of Eva 02 and added the tiny image of Kaworu, as taken from the cover of volume 11 of the manga...
Well, that's it, have you visited the Evaposers Tumblr? I post there the original photos of the figures before editing... You can see this images' original HERE...
Also, this month marks the 3rd anniversary on the Evaposers Blogspot!
In that time it has received almost 20,000 visits! It's not much, but it encourages me to keep it going, even if it's just for 20 people who entered a 1000 times each!
If you have and image you want me to post you can check my profile for the contact mail!
Thanks and see ya next week!
Asuka before the ill-fated activation of Evangelion 03...
Despite I liked how the foreground grass ended I think it's far too detailed for the rest of the image...
Also, I added some effects to the trees on the back too see if I could make them look a bit more real... Don't think it worked...
The base of operations and the cage of the Eva are all 3D design, which I think I'm starting to integrate more evenly into the image (well, not so much the cage)
The Asuka is a Figma a friend let me have some pictures of (I have another one in progress) and the Eva is the 2.0 version...
A week late, but well, better late than never right XD
Eva 02 Beast Mode tearing apart the 10nth angel's AT Field near the end of Evangelion 2.0!
I had a lot of fun making the AT Field and giving it the "multicolored" look that it has on Rebuild of Evangelion, I think it looks nice... I used the "sponge" effect on it at the end...
I also remade the teeth of the Eva 'cuz hey don't look that well on the figure (the only thing I'll say the RD version of this figure has better!)
Anyway, still waiting for the release of the Revoltech Eva 08 (and all the rest)...
It will be a long wait, despite being shorter than the period between 2.0 and 3.0!...
Still, school has been so uneventful this far that it seems the wait will be far longer...
Anyway, see ya next week!
